Project Tags - How to find monthly received vs purchases

Hello,

I know in the P&L section of the project tag reports you can find out how much profit you have based on how much you have invoiced minus purchases in a specific month.

However, how do you find out what you have actually received in one month for a specific tag?

You can see the overall total received when you go into tags, but cannot view this monthly? The only other way I can find is to go into sales then payments - but this shows all payments, not for one specific tag.

The profit and loss report for the project tags works in the same way as our main P&L report does.

At the top of the report you have the option to set a start and end date. You could select a specific month here to view the income and expenditure.

The segmented P&L report doesn’t exist for project tags, but you’re welcome to start a feature request topic for this, if this is what you’re looking for.

We are dealing with a client account who has 4 ongoing projects.

  1. we tag each project accordingly.
  2. each invoice generated is tagged to the corresponding project.
  3. Each payment received is tagged to the appropriate invoice.
  4. Export to bank data of that client and perform a V-lookup.

Thats how I manage if the business is accrual based and there are over lapping periods.
