Recurring Invoice Variables not working in item field

Hi - using Quickfile to good effect so far - only had one problem, I’ve set up a recurring monthly invoice (which is set to go out on the 18th of each month). I’ve used the variable ||MONTH|| ||YEAR|| as the item specified in the invoice - whilst these codes work fine in the variable sandbox, the invoices that go out just show the codes “||MONTH|| ||YEAR||” rather than the actual month and year - what am I doing wrong?

||MONTH|| would be correct. Do these show up on the recurring template preview as being highlighted?

If it’s not highlighted, here are a few other things to check:

• Each variable has two lines either side (e.g. ||YEAR|| ratger than |YEAR|
• The variables should be in the description field more info here
• The variables should work in the sandbox

Okay - many thanks - I had entered them in the ‘Item’ field - once pasted into ‘Description’ They show up as highlighted - many thanks!
