Use Project Tags for Bugeting

Hi,

Is there anyway we can use “Project Tags” feature for budgeting a building project?

I was thinking if we could use the “Create new Estimate” to set a budget for the building costs to see if a build is under/over budget by allocating all the relevant purchase invoices to the same Tag as the Estimate

Hello Raj

Estimates would not affect your ledgers (similar to draft invoices)

When estimates are tagged to a project they will not affect the project balance until they are converted to invoices (as shown below).

Thank you for your prompt reply.
I figured that estimates did not show up in the ledger that is why I thought we can use them for budgeting with some additional work from QF.
I don’t want to create “Fake Invoices” and then delete them once the project is finished whereas Estimates do not matter.
Is there any other way we can do project based budgeting in QF
