2FA code generation not working

I can’t seem to turn 2FA on in either of my two accounts for several days now. When the checkbox to enable it in settings is clicked it churns for a while and then presents the error in a popup “Error retrieving QR Scan code.”

Using Chrome 122.0.6261.129 no extensions and default security settings (also not working in Safari 17.3.1)

Depending on your authenticator app you might be able to register the 2FA by manually entering the private key, even if you can’t see a QR code to scan. I’m not sure whether the Google Authenticator app supports this but the TOTP app I use (Authy) definitely does.
