Hi, I need to submit a 4 month VAT return. From 1st April to 31st July. I changed my vat return periods to to suit either the end or beginning date to no avail. How do I do it? Would I submit Apr - June first and then submit a one month one after? Will this work?
HMRC will expect the return to include a given date range and it should be submitted accordingly from QuickFile (whether that be a single 4 month return or 2 smaller returns). If you contact HMRC or log into the VAT gateway you should be able to determine what date ranges should be sent. If you then set the dates appropriately within QuickFile that should work fine.
