Is it possible to have an option to enter a department for a client?
We’ve just had this issue (first time, admittedly), but the client has specifically asked for it to be made out to the department. The only way we’ve found to get around this issue is to name the client as the department.
As the invoice shows it as the below, the only way to put the department in is under the Company Name, but ideally it would be the other way around:
Name
Company
Rest of Address (including department)
Rather than modify the name, how about modifying the address (i.e. suffix it to the first line of the address)? It would mean however that if you’re dealing with different departments in the same company you may need to create unique client for each department.
The other thing you can do on an ad-hoc basis is just tweak the address in the invoice. You can then add the department to the address or name field.
My one client (probably just being awkward in all honesty) specifically asked for it to be the other way around. I think your solution would be good enough. Thanks for getting back to me though
