Adding a Second Business

I use QuickFile for my Limited company and am setting up an additional sole trader business. Can I add a new business to the same account or do I need a new account and, if the latter, does this mean I’ll need to constantly log out in and out of different accounts to work on the accounts of each?

Yes you will need to create a totally separate account for the new company.

You can manage both accounts from within Affinity.
