Affinity login

I have an existing Affinity account for access to multiple profiles. I want to grant the same to another person with one email address and password to access some of the accounts I currently have on my Affinity profile. I also want to limit what this new Affinity account will be able to access and since I am already paying for the softward via Affinity I don’t want to have this new account being asked for payment too.

Is there any way to achieve the above? TIA

Hello @spq123

When you are logged into Affinity you can add uses in Account Settings > Team management

You can then grant access to whichever profiles you wish.

This doesn’t allow me to restrict access to certain parts of profile as you can do when granting access to individual accounts. I only want to grant access to purchase ledger entries.

Hi @spq123

The only way to restrict access to a certain part of an account would be to add them as a team member to the account. However, they would need a unique email address for this (e.g. the same email address can’t be associated with another QuickFile account).

Yes this is what I was suspected. Are you planning to add restrictions in affinity as can be done in the individual accounts? Hassle to have to create and monitor 5 different emails

Why can’t the same email address be used for different accounts because the URLs are different?

Hi @spq123

We have no plans at this time, but you’re welcome to start a Feature Request for this.

This guide may help explain this - Why am I restricted to registering only one account per email address?
