AMEX Bank Feed

I got an email from QF Today informing me my AMEX bank feed had expired, I went into Bank Feeds to renew it but there is no lounger an AMEX option, any ideas how I resolve please? Thanks

QuickFile only allows one feed per bank to be connected at any given time, so you’ll need to remove the existing expired connection before it’ll let you connect a new one.

There is no existing connection - it expired yesterday and no longer shows

You need the “open banking” screen rather than the bank accounts list

https://support.quickfile.co.uk/t/managing-open-banking-feeds/24052

There’s a distinction in QuickFile between the authorisation with the bank (through which you can feed data for all your accounts with that institution), and the association of individual accounts within that feed to the corresponding bank account nominals in QuickFile.

That’s where I went first but there is no AMEX option

Hello @Vistaro

Amex are transitioning to a new feed which matches the open banking standard, we are currently testing this with a group of customers and it will be added back to the list in due course.

In the mean time we can add you to the test panel if you wish?

Yes please - AMEX is important to me and I need the feed, thanks

I’d love to be added as well - my Amex feed has expired and can’t be resuscitated.

Hello @danielroe

Please be aware this is in a testing phase, it is not a live feed as per other bank feeds, but I can add you if you wish

Hi,
Are you able to give an indication on how long this testing phase will be for?

It is alarming, worrying and inconvenient when something that previously works just disappears. Other users may find it helpful to have a warning notice about these types of testing situations. If we missed such a notice please let me know where it is so we can update our systems.

Depending on the time involved we may wish to be added to the testing panel.
Many thanks

Hi @Susiec

Can you clarify by what you mean by just “something that previously works just disappears”?

Have you noticed anything on your account disappearing, as that shouldn’t be happening.

On the 18th May AmEX feed was working as normal

This morning I got an email to tell me the feed had expired

I went to renew the feed as if done for the last 2 years and there was nothing to renew

I contacted support and you let me know the method that’s been in place for some years was no longer there however you had implemented some beta functionality to retrieve an AMEX feed that (as with any beta) may have some issues

Wouldn’t you agree it would have been easier for both of us had there be pro-active management of a functionality workflow change?

I can confirm exactly the same. I just suddenly lost access to the feed with no way to reenable it.

Apologies for any confusion here, it looks like something was just missed during testing on our side but this has now been fixed.

You should now see the option to enable the new AmEx feed.

Apologies Matthew, I should have been more specific. I was referring to Amex disappearing from the banking feed refresh drop down list as mentioned by others earlier in the thread. So unable to refresh the banking feed.
Your later message was useful as we have just refreshed our feed and all seems to be working again.
Thank you.
