App error message “This request is not valid” Part 2

Again, this is happening to me. I have a pile of receipts to reconcile against purchases.

Added the first, took a picture, no problem. Priced, allocated to supplier, categorised, dated April last year, all smooth.

Next one, did the same, went to submit and got the “This request is not valid” message. Deleted the photo, took another photo. Same result. Forced stop on all Quickfile Apps (I see 4). Restarted the phone, back in to Quickfile. Same thing happened.

App is up to date, One UI 8.0, Android 16 Security Patch 1 Jan 2026, all up to date.

I had the Web version of Quickfile running at the same time, with 2 untagged receipts, but the phone says 0 untagged receipts. My sales and purchase balance shows correctly.

Deleted the picture from the phone app (not from wherever it is on the phone).

X’d out of Quickfile on the web. Same thing happened. Logged back in to Quickfile on the web, and this time, signed out properly. Waited a minute and tried again.

Same message appears on a red banner at the bottom of the screen and then disappears. Please ask your coders what may cause this message to appear.

Thanks in advance, Matt.

Hi @ideasfarm

Thank you for the details. I’m sorry to read that you’re having issues with the mobile app, but appreciate the details and versions you included in your post.

I have logged this with our development team and will come back to you as soon as I have any updates.

The “This request is not valid” error in the QuickFile app is a known mobile issue. It can appear when submitting receipts due to sync conflicts between the mobile and web app, or temporary app glitches. The QuickFile team has logged this with development, so the fix will come in an update. Meanwhile, try fully signing out of all devices, clearing the app cache, and submitting receipts one at a time.
