Archived accounts and vault

Hello,

I recently took over management of a QuickFile account.

I have questions relating to the two screenshots in the attached image:

How does one archive items such as these? The only help I can find relating to archive is for auto-archiving of invoices etc. This seems to be archiving of all entries in particular accounts. It also does not seem to be related to closing a year end.

What exactly is the “Vault”? I can find no help entries related to this.

Items over a certain age are vaulted automatically by the software, similar to the way invoices are archived.

This is purely for performance of the software.

For example, if the software queried the database for all you bank transactions going back to 2013 every time you loaded the window, it would take longer to load and put more strain on the servers.

If it just queries the last 2 years worth of data then this is not an issue.

If you do need to view the older data just click on the link (shown in your second screenshot).
