Audit Trail Missing

Hi,

I have just sent all my year end information to the accountant. I pay the £45 per year and last year am fairly sure I was abale to send an audit trail to the accountant but cannot see it this year.

Essentially I am looking for very single transaction that has been posted i.e. an audit trail.

Can anyone help where this has gone? The event log is not good enough as an audit trail.

Any help is appreciated.

Kind regards

JL

Hi @JustinLee

If you’re looking for a list of every transaction on the account within a period, I think the export of the Chart of Accounts will do the trick: Run a Detailed Nominal Ledger Report

@QFMathew thanks for this. However, when I pull this I have an issue:

1.My year end is 30-04-21 but even though I have the dates correct at the top, it is giving me transactions from 1-5-21 to 31-07-21 (last dated item in system).

Although if I can sort out point 1 it will do the trick, what happened to the audit report as that is one of the main reasons for paying the £45 (I was previously not over the transaction level). It does say it provides it but it has disappeared?

Thanks

JL

Hi @JustinLee

Can I just check that you’re entering the dates and then clicking “Update” before exporting the data? Also, does the date at the top of the export popup reflect this date range, too?

Can you clarify which audit trail you’re referring to, please?

@QFMathew apologies, my fault, I have now been able to download the transactions.

Re: the full audit trail, it’s the one here, if you have a power subscription, like I do:

Thanks

No problem - glad you’ve managed to sort it.

Regarding the audit trail you mentioned, this is available on individual invoices and estimates:

As the guide mentions, it shows a breakdown of who edited what, and when.

Hope that helps!

@QF The information is there, I guess it could just be in an easier format where you can download into Excel for tracking purposes and also to send to accountants so they dont have to come back to you on queries, they can look themselves.

However, many thanks for your quick replies and help.
