Are quickbooks doing anything concerning the requirement for auto submission pf CH accounts by 1st April 2027, and HMRC CT600 if thats required too..
We chose QB becasue of its VAT intergration, we dont really want or need multiple accounting software packages for different submissions.
Thanks
William
Hi @transcom
Thank you for getting in touch.
Unfortunately we’re only able to assist with QuickFile and it’s features and can’t comment on other software packages.

Hi
I currently in the process of transitioning the accounts of a small company I have just bought from QuickBooks to QuickFile for multiple reasons.
- QuickBooks is SO slow
- Quickbooks is not fit for purpose when it comes to recording VAT
- I cannot stand the plethora of messages that you get from QB to try this or do that.
- It is not cheap
I would add that I am pretty certain QuickFile is full integrated for VAT and the submission of accounts to Companies House will almost certainly need different software because of the nature of what is submitted. But I can put of the pleasure of researching that (after all us small business people have nothing better to do that fill out government forms have we!) for at least 20 months.

Michael
Hi,
Weve been submitting VAT for some years now using the integrated process within Quickfile, its flawless, in fact, Quickfile was one of the services recommended by HMRC.
For the latest round of requirements, we have been through all HMRC recommendations again and come up with https://easydigitalfiling .com as the best option for us, as it does not interfere with Quickfile itself, and simply presents the CT600 and Companies House submission forms online, cost is £130 for both, and there’s no payment until you actually submit so preparation is free.

Thank you William.
I will take a look.
Is the fee annually or a one off?
Thank you.
Michael.
Hi,
It’s a one off. Think it was £110 for the CT600 and 20 for CH
Weve prepared them, pay nothing until you hit submit.

BTW I should have added I have used QuickBooks since the 1997 Desktop version right up to the current online version. Intuit rather writing the online version from the ground up have tried to morph the desktop based version into the cloud based version and have, IMO, failed. Xero is better but still trying to be cool and trendy/gamefied rather than a serious accounting package.
I really like the clean fast QF interface. I think it does everything you need. Is it perfect off course not but pretty close. And the support here is first class.
Regards,
Michael
