Auto tagging creating incorrect purchase

Hi,

I have an autotag set up to create an invoice when a supplier pays money in to my account. This works fine except it also creates a purchase for the same amount so that when I go to my dashboard it says I owe.

e.g.

Supplier A pays £50 into my account
In banking I confirm the auto tag to create the invoice
In sales an invoice has been created correctly for £50 from supplier A however it also has a link
If I go to purchases there is purchase from supplier A for £50 linked to the invoice.
My dashboard then says I owe £50
To get round it I have to delete the purchase to make my books balance.

any ideas why it does this?

Auto-tagging from rules shouldn’t create unpaid invoices unless the payment was subsequently removed from the bank.

Do you have any specific example where this has happened, e.g. invoice numbers, amounts & dates?
