Automate customer bank feed reconnect

We provide QuickFile without client access to the data as invariably something will go wrong when the client gets among the data. Is there a simple way we can automate bank feed reconnect so that the client logs in and approves it? They end up having to come into the office at present so we can log them in whilst they then use their banking apps etc….

Hello @banjo_mark

This is not possible at present as Open Banking rules state that you have to re authorise the feed ever 90 days.

Giving them access to the data to do the authorisation in some way would be the only option.

Hi Steve,

Apologies for my tardy reply I have been quite ill since I initially posted the thread and I appreciate that the client has to authorise the feed.

I guess I am looking for some simple way to automate this process to save the hassle of having to get the client into the office. My preference is that the client wouldn’t have access to the data but that the system would walk them tyhrough the authorisation process. I think we have 8 active feeds that need updating every 90 days and it is a job in itself to sort out one at a time with the clients…

Kind Regards,
Mark

Hello Mark

Is a bank feed the best solution for you?

In your case and alternative of getting the client to send a CSV statement from their bank may work out easier for you.

You can then import it into their data.
