I have made a mess of my account and cannot sort our what I have done. I have however kept back up files - is this easy to install and how do I do this?

The backup contains a collection of csv files of all of your ledgers. I have attached the relevant articles to help you import your data.
do I need to delete any data from my quickfile or can I just go straight to the data import wizard?

If you import data into your existing account you would just be adding to the existing transactions.
You would need to either clear all data on your account then you are starting from fresh with a blank account
You can delete your account (or just the data) from the account settings area once logged in. Please look for the “Clear all data in your account” option.

Or
Sign up for a new account (with a different email) then you are starting from fresh with a blank account while keeping the old account until you have everything back to where you want then you could delete the old account.
