I have a balance sheet report as at the end of Dec 24. I am trying to get a breakdown of the creditors and debtors balances that are on the balance sheet at that date. Is there a way of doing this or do I have to export the accounts at that date and contra the entries? If I run the aged debtors/creditors report the nearest that I get is +90days..

The below will give you a breakdown up to a specific date.
Reports > Show all Reports > Other Tab > Debtor/Creditor report
Your debtors and creditors control account balances should always match the aged debtor and creditor reports on a particular date, unless you are somehow posting journals to those accounts. Make sure you are running all the reports at the same date, and the total balance should match the control account. If it doesn’t, then yes, the only way is probably to export the control account transactions and look for something that shouldn’t be there first, like a journal entry.
