Hi There, i seem to have an issue with my starting year bank balance (1/jan/2024) have looked closely at it it seems my bookkeeper has deleted all of my 2023 entries hence the carry through balance is wrong, any ideas how to rectify, should I just open another bank account manually for that date and add in a figure to “balance” or maybe to a journal, any thoughts?

Not only the bank will be incorrect other balances would also be incorrect on your balance sheet as of the start of 2024.
