Just had to re-authorise my Santander bank feed and noticed that one of the 2 accounts has been paused since july. It’s not an account we use often, just for regular savings. Is there any reason why this has happened and why did quickfile not notify me of the issue? As the bank feed can only go back a pitiful 21 days, I’ve now got to go through the past 3 months of statements and manually enter the information. I think quickfile should show notifications of this kind of error.
Hello @scoobeski
Bank feeds do need re authorising every 90 days as per opening banking rules.
You would see an expired feed flag in the banking window if this is the case similar to the example below
As the bank feed can only go back a pitiful 21 days, I’ve now got to go through the past 3 months of statements and manually enter the information.
Most banks only provide us with 21-30 days worth of historical information via the feed. If you are able to download the statement from the bank you can import the transactions directly into the account.

Like I said in the post, the feed was paused. It had NOT expired hence there being NO notification and no way of either knowing it was paused or not working.
Hello @scoobeski
Banks sometimes do updates on their end, sometimes this can also require re authorisation. This is often beyond out control. In this case the feed would show as paused as we have no access to the data without an active authorisation…
if it needed re-authorisation surely there would have been a notification? Your system knew the feed had been paused so why not notify your customers of this rather than wasting their time? seems common sense to me, but what do I know eh
Hello @scoobeski
I have asked the development team to look into adding notifications to be sent when a feed is paused.
