Hi,
I am trying to uploading transactions from a csv file but keep getting an error message. I have read all the suggestions and its still not uploading
What error message do you see? What bank is the file for?
Hi,
When you upload your statement as a CSV file and you come to the step where you choose your bank, click on “other”. With this option you can map your columns.
Hope this helps. If not you may provide more details about the error message or what’s going wrong?
Hi, I have followed the instructions using other and choosing the columns and this the error message I get
Transaction amount wrongly mapped 0 transactions have been inserted
You may have to open your file on your device using OpenOffice or excel or similar and check that everything looks ok and all cells are in 4he right format.
Does your statement have 2 columns, one for ins and one for outs or is it all in one column? Make sure you tick or untick the box on the mapping screen accordingly. What bank is it for, maybe someone who is with the same bank can help you.
Thanks the bank does not have a downloadable excel sheet, so I converted the pdf to excel. If I can’t upload this way what other options do I have?
What bank is it? Usually there is always an option for a CSV file. It’s maybe a good idea to ask your bank how to download a CSV file.
Does your bank provide a open banking feed? If so, you may consider this as an option to get your statement from your bank to quickfile. Because if there is only pdf available and you have to convert it, it is probably very likely that it isn’t working correctly.
Hi ,
It is Scotiabank in Barbados. It may be the bank account type that limits it to PDF only, but I will try.
I used a csv cleaner and it seems to work. Thanks for your help.
