hi I’ve been using quick file for over a year and just want to start tagging my bank to quick file now, but it won’t accept the current balance of the bank all invoices are now paid so going forward it should be able to link payments to invoices as desired but it won’t accept the amount when setting up the payment how do I get it to accept the value in the bank at current and then that’s it
The bank balance is calculated based on the amount of money which has moved within the account. QuickFile doesn’t record of the actual balance itself, just a running total. I hope that makes sense?
If you’re only just starting out with the banking side of QuickFile, it may be possible to have an opening balance which would be your actual bank balance which QuickFile will then use as a starting point for the running total. If you need any help with this, please don’t hesitate to ask.
