Barclaycard Open Banking consent system needs updating urgently!

It’s no longer possible to renew Barclaycard open banking consent using Quickfile. Quickfile’s URL link directs to barclaycard.co.uk’s login page, which, when logged in, redirects to a page that says:

"We’re replacing online servicing – our app has all you need

This won’t affect your account or how you use your card. In fact, most customers now use our app for more secure digital banking.

We’re here to help you get started with our app

  • We’ve put together a simple .
  • It includes a short video that shows you how to get the app for your device.
  • You’ll also find answers to some common questions about the app.
  • You can also use to manage some features of your Barclaycard – you’ll need to register if you haven’t used it before.

This also means you won’t be able to use Barclaycard Online Servicing from now on."

That’s literally all that barclaycard.co.uk offers. There’s no longer any way to log in using a web browser and no access to an Open Banking feed.

I contacted Barclaycard support, and after a lot of back and forth, they said I needed to get in touch with Quickfile support and tell you that the Open Banking feed on Quickfile needs changing to barclays.co.uk, which now features Barclaycard in each user’s account, including the relevant Open Banking feeds.

Please could you action this? I really don’t want to have to feed all the entries in manually!

Working solution:

1 - Setup a banking feed for Barclays. (Or if you already have one, go to step 2).

2 - Revoke banking feed on Barclaycard.

3 - In options for Barclaycard account, add banking feed and select “Barclays” (not Barclaycard), and it should offer your Barclaycard with the last four digits, as an option.

4 - Refresh feed from today’s date to check it’s working.

If you do already have a “Barclays” feed for a current account, then you may find you need to revoke that and then re-authorise so you can select both the current and barclaycard accounts in the same consent flow.
