Billing and Fees

I am just setting up some Quickfile accounts for some very small clients and have done these via an Affinity account (as you can’t have more than one company registered with the same email address it seems). I have a £10 credit which has been added to my account and I can see there are daily billing amounts being deducted from this but can someone please explain what these amounts are? I was under the impression that Quickfile for extra small companies is free?

Hello @FinanceFairy

QuickFile is a single company system, this means you can only set up 1 company per email address.

You can set up multiple accounts but you must use a separate email address.

QuickFile is free up to the first 1000 nominal postings in a rolling 12 month period then £45 per year after that.

More information on pricing can be found in the link below.

We have a dedicated platform for Accountants and Bookkeepers called Affinity. This is a single dashboard where you can group together all your client profiles, track key filing dates and setup your own branding and logo on their accounts.

We have a more general guide on Affinity here:

We also have an Affinity pricing calculator here:

Billing for all accounts is calculated daily and collected monthly (via Direct Debit). You only pay to the exact day each account is connected and there are no other monthly fees or long term commitments. Furthermore all new accounts are preloaded with a free £10 credit.

I’ve included a few other Affinity related resources here that cover some of the extended features.

Thnaks for the info - I’m still confused on the pricing though as everywhere I look it says it is free but on my Affinity account I have got daily billing charges?! Do I pay to have accounts connected to my Affinity profile even if they are XS and have no charges? It’s really not clear what I am being charged for?

Hello @FinanceFairy

With Affinity you are charged for the days you have any clients connected

You can work this out here

In this example below

  • The clients (XS) would not be billed as they are below the QuickFile Threshold
  • The Affinity account would be billed 8.22p per day for as long as they are connected.

Another example would be you have a client who which you are doing a year end for you connect them for say a week they are a L company.

  • The clients would be billed £45+vat per year as they are above the QuickFile Threshold
  • The Affinity account would be billed 8.21p per day for as long as they are connected.
    (8.21p /day x 7 days = 57.47p in total)

I hope this makes sense

OK yes thanks I understand now
