Bulk Create Nominal Codes

Hi

I regularly need to bulk create nominal codes as the businesses I use QuickFile for have specific reporting needs for various reasons.
Is it possible to bulk create nominal codes? If not a native function, is there a javascript workaround or something similar?

There’s not a feature for this as such but you can create multiple nominal codes when importing a Trial Balance, example below.

Created a spreadsheet similar to the below (not debits and credits must match)

Account Settings > Import Data > Import trial balance > Select the file (don’t worry about the dates)

Map the columns as shown below > save

Tick the “New” boxes on the right and “Map to will change to your new code”

When you get to this screen click delete journal, the codes will be created but the journal will not be posted
