Cancelling a Gocardless payment

Last week a set up an invoice to be paid by direct debit (Gocardless). This morning I cancelled the gocardless payment directly via Gocardless. I was expecting the QF Invoice to be refreshed and not display the
Payment for this invoice will automatically be collected by Direct Debit
Have I not followed the correct procedure?

I will check with GoCardless. I’m not sure at this stage if GC send us a notification when a payment is cancelled?
