Can't login, too many attempts, try again in 5 minutes - ALL DAY?

I’ve just started using a new Password Manager ‘Sticky Password’

Quickfile does not appear to like it as the password manager automatically tried to log me in.

As Sticky Password has a password generator, and I really want to start using complex passwords with all the hacking that happens these days, Quickfile absolutely will not accept a complex generated password.

I have never had a problem before, but now, having triple checked my ‘old’ password is correct within Sticky Password, I now keep getting the “Too many attempts - Try again in 5 minutes” message - It is definitely stuck on this as I have tried over the past few hours with way more than 5 minutes between login attempts, and it a’int having any of it.

If, however, I close my Sticky Password password manager down and login manually with the same old password - No problem - In like Flynn !

So what’s happening here?

I want to be secure with a complex password, the kind I would never ever remember off the top of my head, but can’t because it clashes with Quickfile, so I have to use something easily hacked due to simplicity?

I can’t use Sticky Password to automatically log me in either with a complex password or my old password, Quickfile just repeats the message “Too Many Attempts etc”

This has to be a Login bug.

Any ideas lovely people ??

Hello @Robbie

I wanted to assure you that a complex password is more than acceptable. In fact, both myself and a colleague use password managers (Last Pass) and generated passwords containing numbers, letters and symbols.

For reference, this is a password I’ve just generated (just so you can see the format):
gey!&s*DHvl@E4kx!XBO%h9

I don’t personally have experience with Sticky Password, but it does sound like a setting may be interfering with this somehow.

I will send you a private message now to help you regain access to your account.
