I have an existing current account with Tide Bank. This is apparently only a sub-account of an account for a different limited company and so is not full featured. It has caused difficulties in receiving money as the account name remains as that of the main account, so the bank flags this as a potential fraud when clients make payments… I have given up with Tide to resolve this after days of trying. I have opened a new current bank account using Anna Money to which all future receipts/ payments will be made. How do I change the current account in QF to Anna and preserve the entries in the QF Tide account for accounting purposes.

In the banking screen create a new account.
Create a new transaction on the new account for the opening balance and tag it as a transfer from the tide account (when you transfer the money over).
