After doing my taxes this year I noticed that I messed up and didn’t realize I was supposed to categorize some purchases as assets and not general purchases. This goes back to the opening of my account. Is there a way to modify it or add amendments to count those purchases as assets?

If transactions are vat locked you can still move the values in the chart of accounts using the Move to new code option.
If transactions are locked by the year end option you may need to delete year end journals and change the account lock date in your company settings.

This can be done on most nominal codes.
If I want this to be updated onto my company house account do I contact them telling them I made the mistake? Or do you believe I should just wait till next year’s tax account for the update?
