Changing transaction reference doesn't update "Description" in account details

When I tag a bank transaction with “something not on this list”, I usually leave the “Description” field empty to just use the transaction reference.

When I need to make changes to the transaction reference, the “Description” in the account details for that transaction doesn’t update.

Is this intended?
Do I really need to detag the transaction to change the description of a booking? Or is there another way to quickly change the description text of a tagged transaction (in account details)?

A similar problem occurs when changing the “Purchase Name” in “Purchase Management”. This doesn’t update the description text on the invoice itself, which seems a bit confusing to me and makes updating texts (e.g. when reviewing other people’s work) quite cumbersome.

The “purchase name” is a separate field from the line descriptions - there is a setting to show the purchase name field when creating a purchase, but if this is not enabled (or it is enabled but you don’t choose to set a purchase name on creation) then the default name will be initialised to a truncated version of the first line description.

But that is just the initial value - if you later change the purchase name it does not affect the line descriptions or vice versa.
