Is it possible to turn off the client area as its a facility we would like to offer, or restrict clients who can access the system.

When you tick the “Allow PDF Attachment” does it turn off the access to the client area? Is that possible?

No it doesn’t
There is not a way to turn it off as such
You could however check “Enforce client login” in their account and not give them the password.
If they are receiving the invoice by email why would they try to log in?
