Does Quickfile archive all bank feeds - such that if a bank account is closed, the user is still able to access all previous book-keeping summaries - or is this immediately disconnected?
If it is disconnected, can the existing transactions be archived within Quickfile?

When you say disconnected are you referring to a bank feed.
The feed only imports bank transactions into your data, once imported the transactions will remain there indefinitely unless you delete them.
After 2 years the transactions are archived but remain on the account and accessible but are not immediately loaded when you access the account. This is mainly for efficiency.
