Co-op business CSV format has changed

Hi.

Co-op have changed the CSV format for downloaded business banking statements, so now when I upload a statement to QuickFile there are the following problems;

  • Credits to the account are showing as money out in QuickFile, not money in
  • Transaction details are not carried over from the CSV to QuickFile

Grateful if the CSV import parsing could be updated. Thx!

You can use the ‘other’ option to map these columns yourself in the meantime.

Hi @PompeySaint

Would you be able to send us a copy of the CSV for reference please? You can send it in a private message to @QFSupport

In the meantime, you can do as @Lurch suggests and use “Other” which allows you to manually map the file.

I’ve just had the same problem. How do I get rid of the uploaded year’s worth of statements in quickfile so that I can import using the ‘other’ option?

Ignore that. I deleted them manually. Can’t use the ‘other’ option as the Exel file doesn’t have separate columns for money in and money out

Have tried using ofx format which recognises money in and money out but doesn’t give any info about the transactions, just lists them all as generic.

Just to be sure, it’s .csv that you’re importing rather than .xls or .xlsx?

Other has an option for either a single column for positive/negative numbers for the figure, or to use 2 separate columns. You should see a check box on the screen to enable/disable this.

It says it a .csv on their site

I have managed it! Took a bit of messing about to assign the columns correctly but I have what I need.
