Commission Paid

We pay a referral fee to anyone who refers us to another business.

Would I need to raise a new purchase for every person (and have each person as a different supplier), or is there a better approach to this?

Not every person we pay commission to is a business - it could be an individual too.

I know for one of the accounts my colleague manages such affiliate commission gets posted to one supplier named ‘Generic Affiliates’. When the amount is tagged on the bank the name of the recipient is entered as the description, and would appear on the invoice description line. This means there aren’t hundreds of suppliers, and any outgoings can easily be searched from the purchase management area.
