Can we not just have the thing that @Glenn suggested in the topic from the start of this i.e. lock the bank accounts with active feeds? Just chased another issue with a payment someone had tagged to a bank account with a feed so there was a duplicated entry.
If there is an active feed on a bank account then I see no reason why you would want to start adding and removing entries for the most part.
