Converting QuickFile for use in Portugal

Hello !
I just tried to send a message through https://www.quickfile.co.uk/home/contact and after recaptcha confirmation I’m getting this error:

The Name must be at least 3 characters long.

All fields are filled correctly.

Cheers !

Hi @Domingo_Alvarez_Duar

I’ve just tested this page and it’s worked all OK for me.

Could you tell me what you put in the name field please? Was it longer than 3 characters?

Domingo Alvarez Duarte

It should work without any issues. Unfortunately I’m not able to replicate the issue at this moment in time but will keep an eye on it.

Was your query relating to an access access issue? If not, we run on a central support set up (these forums) for all other queries.

You’re more than welcome to post your query here on our forums. As you can see, we (and other users) are using them and actively helping out with queries

Thanks !
My query was to resell/represent QuickFile to spanish/portuguese countries.
I’m actually based in Reading and I’m both Brazilian/Spanish.
Let’s talk to find a way to do it !
Cheers !

Unfortunately QuickFile is only available for UK based businesses, and is currently unsuitable for non-UK based entities. However, the reasons for this is everything is reported in GBP, it’s set up for UK tax (tax summary, VAT, etc), and everything is in UK English. If you can live with that (some users do), then it’s should be all OK.

On the note of reselling, we don’t have any reselling programmes at the moment. You could however set up an Affinity account and brand it as your own, but the URL etc. would still read as QuickFile.

I have however, invited my colleague to this thread who would be a far better help than what I would.

Ok !
Let see what we can do, if we reach an agreement I would arrange to translate quickfile, as for the UK bits I do not think it’ll be too hard to adapt, the accounting principles are universal and in Europe V.A.T. is the same (with different percentages).
Cheers !

Unfortunately even translating everything is a massive undertaking for us. We don’t have common language files we can simply edit, so each page needs to be done individually. The whole application would either need to be forked or a mechanism introduced for editing the text for different locales.

You also have things like timezone differences to contend with, localisation issues in terms of number representation, date formatting, currencies etc.

In short it’s a very big job that we simple don’t have the resources to take on at this stage.

Sorry to disappoint!

That’s why I said that I’ll arrange to do that if we find an agreement !
Probably we should talk by email about this.
Cheers !
