Today I imported a CSV for an account with a building society which you don’t have listed. This statement had conflicts when importing. I was given the option to save a template which I did, I’ll test it next time I upload a file.
However, when I uploaded a Co-op CSV file, I was still not given the option to save a template! Is this because you have Co-op listed as one of the banks which you believe Quickfile is already set up for, therefore there should be no need for a custom template (although the Co-op import doesn’t work, as we’ve been saying for a few years now)?
I noticed there is still no option for open banking feed for Co-operative Bank. Shame as they are one of the very few left over banks offering mostly free business banking, and virgin but who knows what will happen when nationwide take it all on
@JoeT yes i agree, it’s very frustrating and has caused me more then one bookkeeping mistake.
@QFSteve thanks for passing on the bug about importing CSVs, but it would be much more helpful to just have the bank feed. What is the specific reason why Co-op feed is so much more difficult to import please?
Yes, that thread explains that Co-op uses a different banking feed method from many other banks, but that’s not a technical reason. Is it just a policy that Quickfile will now only connect to feeds that use the Open Banking method, so until Co-op Bank changes to that from token.io, Quickfile will never support it?
I’m trying out QuickFile for first time and not sure if I will use it due to not having this working with Coop bank. Msging so I can see if any updates. But a feature request spanning over 3 years doesn’t fill with me hope.
