I didn’t get the impression from Co-op that they knew anything about an outstanding query from Quickfile, however they did say they’d be unable to offer a bespoke solution for integrating their open banking feed and Quickfile will need to use the token.io system. I have not emailed token.io about this as I have no business relationship with them.
I’m not sure I’d recommend bothering Co-op about it, at least not until Quickfile have come back and given us any info which could help us push from the bank-customer side.
Our link would be via Token, which is why Co-op are likely to be unaware of any issues. The initial contact was through Co-op, but they passed it all to Token.
Our last update from Token was on 16th March when they confirmed that they identified as platform bug which would require significant work on their side, which was in progress at that time.
They have told us they’ll keep us updated, but as of yet, we’ve had no updates.
They haven’t revealed to us what the significant work is, or how long this will take, but as we have updates come through, we will, of course, keep you posted.
Co-op Bank’s open banking team got back to me a few weeks ago and said that they are aware of the bug and that they would ask Token to focus on resolving this bug when current critical deliverables were complete, and that this would likely be done in May. So, to make sure that they don’t get distracted by something else you could contact Token now to ensure fixing this bug is next on their list.
Co-op bank have notified customers of upcoming upgrades to their digital banking systems due in the next couple of weeks. Is there any hope that this could change the situation here?
I can’t say one way or another unfortunately. Co-op use a third party to operate their bank feed, called Token.
I believe the issue that’s put things on hold is between Token and Co-op. It could be that this update could resolve it, but it’s not something that we’re informed about.
My last reply from Co-op bank told me that the bug which was preventing you implementing open banking via token.io should be resolved in May, so now we’re at the end of June it definitely should be resolved. At the end of April I posted above suggesting that you contact token.io to make sure that resolution of this bug was high on their hit list for May, and I hope you did that. Can you please tell us what the current status of your integration for Co-op banking feed is?
I noticed Co-OP now appear in the bank feed but it currently has no green ticks doe sthat mean… at present it doesnt connect, I appreciate any updates… it look like a good sign that it will be in futre which is good
My understanding of @QFMathew’s reply is that it is being worked on, so the fact it now appears in the feeds list is a confirmation of that. I presume that the ticks in the feeds list are populated automatically based on automated testing of the feeds’ responses from Quickfile.
