Corporation tax return filling

Hi, I started my company in August 2021. I got notice two times to file corporation tax but I don’t know how to file. While the accountant is asking for 300£ which is not affordable for me because I didn’t work much. I am totally confuse how to fill stats of balance sheet in micro-entity accounts filling. Anyone please help me with this. I am running out of time.

Hello @Wajeeha

You can file your return via the link provided by @FaradayKeynes, If you need mor help with this you would need to refer to an accountant.

We have a panel of accountants (familiar with QuickFile) to choose from, for more information, please see the following link:

If you started your company in August 2021, then your first accounts should be until August 2022, and you should have 9 months to file them plus pay your first corporation tax bill. That’s around May 2023. You actually have a full 12 months to file the tax return, i.e. August 2023. That is, unless you are filing accounts for a shorter period than 12 months.

Make sure you read up on how to work out your profits for corporation tax, as it’s not just the same as your accounts profit. You sound as though you really would be better off paying the £300 - it’s a good rate for company accounts and tax and is usually well worth it in the long run.
