Creating estimates measured in days, not hours?

Is it possible to create estimates (quotations) that are in terms of days, rather than hours?

This can be changed in Sales Invoice Customisation > Click on Itemised area

But its an all or nothing settings (Applied to all invoices past and present.), This can be changed ad hoc but could be confusing when looking back on historic invoices.
