How I would expect it to work
Currently if you enter a date in the following format 19/8 for example one receives an error messgage. I would suggest it would be better if QF understood this to mean 19/08/2025 and auto completed/corrected the date for you.
This has been implemented in purchase invoice field but not in sales invoices. Could this be implemented across all date fields? i.e. Sales invoices, journals, bank transactions etc?
Additionaly in Quickbooks one quickly “navigate” dates with keyboard shortcuts. For example when in a date field:
“Y” - Previous 1st January (
“R” - Next 31st December
“-” - back one day
“+” - forward one day
W - beginning of week
K - end of week
M - beginning of month
H - end of month
T - Today
These shortcuts make data entry so fast.
