The customer statement will always show unpaid invoices, regardless of the dates entered.
You may find the historical debtors and creditors report of more use however, which will allow you to see any overdue invoices, including their balance at a certain date. This can be accessed by going to Reports >> All Reports, and it’s near the bottom of the list.
I hope that helps’
Has this report altered? Last time I was able to export data and delete things to show the results I was after but when I look now it seems very limited?
I’m not aware of any changes that have been made to this report.
I’ve just checked this on an account I have access to and I can see the “Export Data” button as per usual. I assume this is missing for you? Is there anything else you’ve noticed that’s different?
The export button is there but I cant seem to drill down to specific client detail. I am trying to provide a statement showing what was outstanding at a certain date in time for their auditors. The normal statement always shows everything including up to present date which is no good.
What sort of detail were you looking for? You should still be able to export the data into a CSV file and open this in spreadsheet software. From there, you should be able to filter the data by a specific client - that would give you a list of invoices and their balances as of a specific date.
If you need more detail than this, if you could share what you are after exactly, maybe we can try and point you in the right direction?
When I export it just shows the clients, whats not due, total overdue, credit, 0-15, 16-30 etc.
Im after a list of invoices and balance for a particular client at any given date.
The report I obtained before showed current status, issue date, reference, company name, description, invoice total and balance.
Bingo! Youve just nailed it. I was looking at aging. I must have subliminally substituted historical with aging.
Thanks for your help and sorry to have wasted your time puzzling over it!
