Default category for a new supplier

Hello

Is there a way to change the default category for ANY new supplier added? I know it can be changed later but I’d like to change the default when a new supplier is created. It’s currently in Alphabetical order I think “Advertisement”.

When you create a new supplier the Default Purchase Category is set to (5000) General Purchases.

When I create a new supplier - on the New Purchase tab - my default on the form is “Advertisement”. Yes, I can then go into the supplier and change that but I was wondering if there was a way to set the default for “every new supplier created”?

Ah ok I see what you mean.

Unfortunately this can not be changed on that screen.

The category would load as the first one in the list as no supplier is selected when you first load the screen so there is no default code to pick up.
