Hello I bought a vehicle 6 months into my year do i depreciate it by half a years depreciation as bought part way through? Should i then set up journal entries for 6 monthly x 7 so it is fully depreciated in 4 years?
Either is fine.
I’d prob depreciate it for 6 months then 12 months thereafter until the 4th year and then the final amount but whatever is easier for you.
