Does anyone know how to produce a detailed VAT report. I have filed my first VAT return and I’m due a repayment. HMRC have contacted me asking for various items one of which is a copy of the detailed VAT report. Can anyone help??
You can download the VAT return backing report by going into the VAT return and clicking the following button.
This will itemise all invoices that make up the figures on the return.
I found and clicked this button twice before I posted. I just had the spiral icon and then nothing? Is there something else to press after??
Check the bottom left, it’s not always obvious but it will download the file. It will then appear in the bottom left or open your default spreadsheet software.
Thanks Glenn, using a Mac they were all sat in “downloads” waiting to be opened.
