I,ve found older posts on this but nothing definitive.
Can someone advise how to deal with the following, please.
Regarding rental property held in a LTD company, how should deposits be allocated?
So the tenant pays the landlord a deposit. The landlord then passes this on to a deposit service (DPS). How should that be allocated in Quickfile?
At some point in the future (could be many years down the line) the deposit is either (a) partially/wholly refunded to the tenant from the DPS and/or
(b) partially/wholly to the landlord for repairs etc.
So 2 parts. What to do with the initial deposit and secondly what to do with if returned to landlord?
