Dropbox - files being zipped when adding them

Hi All

Why when I upload an image file of 0.43mb or similar size, does dropbox convert it to a zip file ?

This happens every time I upload more than 10 receipts no matter what size ?

Yet in the Dropbox intergration setup it states the following…

“Each QuickFile account has a 262 MB daily transfer limit. If you have more than 262 MB of data in your Dropbox folder the remaining portion will be disregarded until the following day when the data limit has been reset.”

Am i reading the stated allowance incorrectly ?

Thanks in advance.

Hello @DC123

QuickFile doesn’t zip up files when being uploaded. I’m not sure where this could be happening?

Just to confirm - you upload a file (e.g. JPG, approx 0.4MB), and it changes it a ZIP file in the /Apps/Quick File Receipts/ folder on Dropbox. Is that right?

Do you have any other apps that may be doing this within your account - Zapier or similar perhaps?

I use camscanner to take the images, sorry forgot to mention that, could the issue be with that ?

Possibly. I don’t have access to a copy of CamScanner at the moment to test this. Do you take multiple photos and then upload them in one go to Dropbox? If so, try taking them individually. With as a PDF it adds them as pages, each JPG would have to be saved separately, so this could be the cause.

However, I did do a search for this and nothing related to it has come up so far.

Ok I’ll try that and see what happens.

Thanks for your help.
