Ec sales submission error

hi,
i am trying to submit EC sales list for the 1st time, and getting the following error

EC Sales submission to HMRC failed.
By System : The ‘http://www.govtalk.gov.uk/CM/envelope:Key’ element is invalid - The value ‘205 xxxx 14’ is invalid according to its datatype ‘String’ - The Pattern constraint failed.

can anyone help

The ECSL e-filing service doesn’t like that you have spaces in your VAT number. We’ve updated our submission routine to strip these out automatically (although won’t go live until later today).

In the mean time go into your VAT settings, remove the spaces from your VAT registration number and retry.
