Once again my SMTP has been blocked from sending emails - It seems to happen because we have to send out quarterly invoices to 300 customers. Our ISP swears it isn’t our server and since it is going through our server not yours I don’t really understand why QF would block it.
I have tried resetting it but QF still says there is a problem (without saying what) - I know the username and password are correct because I can login to the email account online using the same credetials
Hi @ChrisA14
Do you meant the SMTP settings have been deactivated, or that an email you’re sending to has been blocked (and therefore, the emails aren’t sending to them)?
I fixed it now…not doing anything different but it looks like there is some time lag or something latching in the browser so that once it thinks it can’t access the server, it doesn’t update. Wait 15 mins and reload the browser and I was able to free it.
The issue is caused when the emails being sent hits about 250. I am not sure if something in QF doesn’t like that many emails being sent, or if it is triggered by a number of rejected emails but QF is deactivating the settings. the settings are obviously correct because a chunk of emails have gone through ok. We have this problem quite often on invoice day but our isp swears it isn’t them blocking QF so I can’t get to the bottom of why our SMTP gets deactivated
