Enabling MTD VAT

So, I’m trying to find the two tickboxes referenced at this support page: https://support.quickfile.co.uk/t/hmrc-tax-accounts-mtd-returns/24367

…but they don’t appear to be present in the ‘VAT Settings’ page of QuickFile. The instructions explicitly state that “You can do this before or after you have linked your HMRC account”.

I’m wondering if perhaps these instructions are out of date, and one must in fact first sign up for MTD at HMRC?

Thanks for bringing this to our attention, I will get the instructions updated.

You are correct you now have to link your tax account first as per the purple message shown below
