"EU acquisition of goods" option disappeared from purchases

We have a warehouse in NI and have previously used this option, but now suddenly it’s gone. Only reverse charge on services are available. What happened, why is this option gone??

According to the support article VAT for businesses in Northern Ireland the options for EU acquisitions/dispatches now only show “if your account is regsitered to a Northern Ireland postcode”. You might need to change the primary address of your account to your NI warehouse and then customise the invoice templates if you want your invoices to show a different address.

Because of this requirement my account was manually enabled for the NI vat options a while ago.
It seems now this has reversed. Can you add it manually again?

If I change the address will there be issues with vat and tax returns to HMRC ?

I can’t, as I don’t work for QuickFile, but @QFSupport may be able to help.

Hello @nick2

I have updated this for you, below are the options which now show on your purchase invoice screen.

Thanks, but it doesn’t appear to work, it still doesn’t show EU acquisition of goods.

Hello @nick2

I just had another look at this for you.

Give it a try now, I have just went to Purchases > Create new Purchase and clicked edit next to Additional Vat options on your account and it is showing.

It’s strange but it doesn’t show up for me. I tried just now again, here is how it looks for me.

Hello @nick2
